Border between people either political or personal, across race, gender, distance, time, sounds, smell. Isolation, frustration, satisfaction, pleasure and all sort of emotions and activities merging all together, making one big stream on the street.
Everybody has their own concept of values and doing their own things. All those experiences, could be one limited special moment or just a part of negligible mundane life. It makes me wonder what reflects on Their eyes? what do They have in their mind? where are we going? Where are we coming from?
Hiro Tanaka (Japan). An interesting coincidence led him to start taking photographs - after accidentally winning a free trip to U.S through raffles at a mall in Tokyo, Tanaka started travelling with punk bands in the US and Europe, acquired his 1st camera from one of the band members while traveling and documenting the road.
He has won Cosmos Arles PDF Award at Les Rencontres d’Arles (France), Sirmione Award for Photography x Magnum Photos - Residence (Italy), TPD Book Award (Italy), among others. selected as finalists/nomination for World Press Photo Global Talent, PHotoESPAÑA Premio al mejor libro, Gomma Photography Grant, Kassel Photobook Award, etc. has had received several grants, participated in residency programs in US, Europe and Asia. Exhibited at gallery and festivals, published several monographs.
